MENTORSHIP PROGRAM

Enrolling now for April 2023

Doris Au-Yeung x Cora Lee

Is this you right now?

⊹ Are you a teacher who has finished your 200 hour yoga teacher training, but don’t know how and where to start?
⊹ Do you feel like you're not good enough to teach?
⊹ Are you feeling overwhelmed by the amount of “competition” out there and unsure of how to differentiate yourself from others?
⊹ Do you feel lost and stuck and can’t seem to take the next step to start teaching?

But you're ready to get unstuck...

⊹ You want to find your unique voice as a yoga teacher and carve your own successful path
⊹ You want to establish your authentic values, mission and build your yoga career around
⊹ You want to refine your skills in teaching
⊹ You want to receive honest and constructive feedback in your teaching in a safe and nurturing environment
⊹ You want to feel supported on your path by mentors and a group of like-minded individuals

If any of these resonate with you, you're at the right place to embark on the next step in your yoga teaching journey.

It’s fair to say that modern yoga is more focused on physicality – asana practice.

When you decide to be a yoga teacher, the 200-hour teacher training aims to give you a full scope of yoga beyond the asana practice. While the curriculum does cover some content on teaching, it is a requirement to also cover yoga history, philosophy, and anatomy.

It’s not surprising that most teachers feel they are still not equipped to teach after their 200 hours of teacher training.

From April to May 2023, Cora and Doris are going to join forces and co-teach a 6-week comprehensive mentorship and educational program to BRIDGE THE GAP between your 200 hours of teacher training and actually stepping up to teach.

This program will help you PAVE YOUR PATH to transition to be a yoga teacher.

This program is where MINDSET meets ACTION

MINDSET

To teach yoga, you need the right mindset.

Vision, goals, and purpose are topics that are not discussed enough in foundational training (and are difficult in a big group context).

In this program, we will dedicate time on reflection and exercises to guide you through identifying your mission, core values, strengths & weaknesses, removing roadblocks, and finding clarity on becoming the teacher you are.

Result: You know why you teach, who you teach, and set yourself up to be the teacher you always wanted to be.

ACTION

Step Into Your Teaching. The only way to start teaching is to teach. In this program, we pass you the mic.

Our goal is to give you the platform to practice what you learn in your training, put them in practice, receive constructive feedback, and refine & hone in on your teaching techniques

Result: You will build skills and confidence to show up to lead your own class.

Meet Cora

After years of being the perfect student and daughter, Cora finally had freedom. She started drinking, partying, boys, and started to care more about how she looked. This is when she started all the yo-yo dieting. She tried every single diet out there but still, she felt she wasn’t getting any healthier.

Fast forward to 2001, Cora returned to Hong Kong and started her career in Finance Equity Sales.  Young and ambitious. Fancy office. Suits and high heels. Business class travel… you get the idea. It was her dream come true. At least that was what she thought. But this comes at a cost. Late nights. Business entertainment. Eating out. Alcohol. Parties. She was very far from being healthy.

Despite that lifestyle (which she didn’t understand or care about back then), she met the man of her life and soon after we had two children, Xavier and Zoe Anne. Becoming a mother changed her life. With Eric’s support, she quit her banking job and embraced full-time motherhood.

She stopped drinking, smoking, eating junk and started to read about everything about nutrition and health. All her childhood memories came flooding back and awakened her knowledge of traditional Chinese medicine, healing foods, and holistic living. Cora also became curious about the new cutting-edge science and information from Western medicine.

For the first time in her life, on the yoga mat, she felt calm and peaceful, and for the first time in life, she found a safe, calm place for personal reflection and wellness. Yoga gave Cora something deeper – the connection to her mind, spirit and relationships, enabling her to show up as a happier mom, wife and friend, better able to handle challenges in day-to-day life.

Although initially more interested in personal development, meeting her wonderful primary teachers Patrick Creelman and Rinat Perlman in 2013 reawakened her long-standing desire to teach and in 2014, she took their 200 hours Foundation Teacher Training.

The first time she stood up in front of the class, she was nervous but as soon as she started she felt alive, teaching something she truly love.

Teaching yoga is a natural extension of Cora’s practice, her true calling.  She is grateful she has had a lot of opportunities to teach – from smaller studios to fitness gyms, from group classes to private students. She has also been given a lot of collaboration opportunities with brands, teaching corporate classes, big yoga events, and even being an early teacher of real-time online yoga in 2017.

Cora started teaching at Pure Yoga since 2017, originally in Hong Kong, and rejoined the Pure family in Singapore when she moved in 2019.

Cora’s purpose now is to help other yoga teachers achieve the teaching career of their dreams. We all know that it’s been unsettling times over the past year or so, and many of you have shared about your struggles of making a living from your teaching.

Meet Doris

Doris is a leadership coach, community builder, and yoga teacher/mentor focused on transformation.

She strives to take people on a journey of transformation, all the while empowering them to realize their highest potential.

It is through her classes, workshops, and mentoring programs that she guides them to be the best “multiple” version of themselves.

Doris was born and raised in New York and now resides in Asia. She was first introduced to yoga by one of her colleagues and instantly fell in love with the practice.

At the time, she worked in a very hectic and stressful corporate environment. She realized fairly quickly how yoga helped provide that balance between that hectic corporate life and her personal life.

The practice literally saved her life and dramatically changed her way of living and her perspective of the world. She then knew yoga would be part of her everyday life on and off the mat.

With strong desires to continue her self-discovery journey and a passion to share, Doris left her career in Finance to dedicate her life to all things yoga and wellness.

She loves sharing her passions and taking people on a journey of transformation.

Her passion has taken her well beyond the busy cities of NYC and HK, to destinations all over the world. Her offerings include mindfulness practices, Dharma Yoga, Vinyasa flow, and Partner / Acroyoga.
